“Situated in eastern Oakville, with a generally western exposition and reddish volcanic soils, the Leopoldina Vineyard has yielded a wonderfully perfumed 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Leopoldina Vineyard. It's almost floral, marked by great freshness and verve, tart black cherries and a touch of cassis on the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, streamlined and remarkably elegant. It's not the biggest, most expansive wine you'll find on the eastern side of the valley, but it exhibits a fine sense of balance, adding a hint of licorice on the finish.”
